An Important Update from Mahu Whenua

After 6 magical years of operating as a premier Wanaka luxury lodge, Mahu Whenua New Zealand will be moving to exclusive-use reservations only as of June 2024. This means that we will only be available for bookings of the homestead in it’s entirety, and will no longer offer the option to book individual suites.

Whilst this is a big change for us, we believe the guest experience will be enhanced greatly by this change – sharing the homestead and it’s facilities with only your nearest and dearest brings a whole new level of luxury and privacy to the Mahu Whenua experience.  We will be bringing you the same luxury service that Mahu Whenua has become renowned for, inviting you, with our famous kiwi-hospitality,  to share our unique corner of the world.  Your meals will be lovingly curated and tailored by our in-house private chef, and our hosts will ensure your stay is comfortable, personal and totally unique.  

Exclusive use rates for stays at Mahu Whenua start from NZ$24,000 per night for up to 10 guests, with access to 5 suites, the homestead and all of it’s facilities.  You can view our 2024/25 rates sheet and inclusions here.
