What a challenging year 2020 has been! Summer is just around the corner and dare I say it, Christmas is less than 30 days away. We are all looking forward to long lazy summer days and spending time with friends and family.

Many of you may have had plans to go overseas to explore new destinations – perhaps skiing in Japan or surfing and relaxing in Hawaii. It could have been a golfing holiday in the States or having a fantastic Northern Hemisphere Christmas. While we know these adventures are postponed (just for now)… we have a very special opportunity for you.

Mahu Whenua is a luxury villa situated just out of Wanaka. This Wanaka accommodation is available this summer to welcome family and friends who are wanting to create lasting memories. Catering for up to 12 guests and fully hosted, you can enjoy all the services of a leading luxury lodge but experience exclusive Wanaka accommodation for family and friends.

The homestead and cottages can sleep up to 12 guests and your stay is enhanced by a fabulous chef, a concierge and also our fabulous housekeeper. The elite team offer a five-star service but understand our guests’ requirements for flexibility, privacy and most of all fun.

Mahu Whenua is a conservation estate and guests will have access to all its 138,000 acre glory! Picnics by the river, explore the valleys by e-bike or let one of the horses make the effort, a magnificent heated pool are all available exclusively for guests. Dinners could be a fun family barbecue around the pool. It could be chef prepares a fun dinner for the children before they are settled with a movie and then the ‘grown ups’ can dress up for a more formal dinner in the dining room. Our team will craft each day of your stay to suit your own individual needs.

There is a myriad of activities to keep everyone busy, but it is also the perfect base to explore the fiords and glaciers in the surrounding Mt Aspiring National Park, or the adventure of Wild Wire or river surfing. You will have a concierge team on hand from the moment you make a booking to help tailor all aspects of your stay.

Getting to Mahu Whenua is easy. There are many direct flights to Queenstown airport via Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. From there it is a 1 hour 20 minute drive, or short helicopter ride across the Crown Range through Wanaka to the homestead.
